Anaïs Dancet was born in 1986 in the university town of Leuven near Brussels, Belgium.The third child in a family of four, Anaïs showed an interest in art and architecture from a very young age. By the time she reached fifteen her appreciation had developed so far that she decided to change schools and specialise in Architectural Arts and Architecture. She went on to enrol at university where she developed her theoretical knowledge and began to indulge her passion for interior design, graduating with an MA in Interior Architecture from the Artesis School in Antwerp, Belgium.By this time Anaïs had a deep understanding of the theoretical side of her field but, believing that theory alone was not enough, she decided to move to Scotland to study the practical side of the profession. She enrolled at The Chippendale International School of Furniture where she undertook an intensive one year course in furniture design, making and restoration. As well as learning to make furniture from both solid and veneered woods, she gained skills in carving, gilding, marquetry and stained glass, completing the course with an impressive portfolio of work.Anaïs is passionate about working with her hands. As both a designer and maker of fine furniture she can help customers realise their ideas regarding functionality and beauty and can deliver a finished piece that is personal and perfectly matched to its surroundings.

06-07-'11:Hello,Have been working on a commission.I was asked to build a protective case for a telescope.The protective cary case needed to be damp proof and fit around the protective foam that was already provided with the telescope.Above: some pictures of the findished cary case.12-06-'11: I just got graduated from the Chippendale international school of furniture on saturday.!!!jippieFeel free to come and have a look at my and my fellow students work at our exhibition, the 13th and 14th of June from 6 till 8 o' clock.
